Business Operations Update: COVID-19

This morning the State Government of Victoria declared a State of Emergency, effective from 12.00pm today for a period of four weeks.  This is in addition to previous announcements by the Federal Government recommending the banning of gatherings and the implementation of “social distancing” wherever possible.

We are assessing all information available to us.  It is apparent we must all take precautionary action to protect those in the community who are most vulnerable, including the elderly and those with pre-existing medical conditions.

We provide many financial services to the elderly, aged care residents and those currently facing challenging medical conditions.  It is of utmost importance we continue to service these clients without taking any undue risks.  At the same time, we intend to continue to provide our ongoing advice and services to all existing clients.  We see this as a critical component of fulfilling our obligations in these challenging times.

Given the above information, effective immediately, we are suspending all personal “face to face” interaction with all clients.  This will be the case for the next four weeks while the State of Emergency declared by the Victorian Government is in place.  We will then review our protocols at the end of this four week period.  During this period, we ask that all clients refrain from visiting our office in person.  In coming to this decision, please rest assured our main priorities are (1) to ensure we are doing our bit to protect those in our community who are most vulnerable and (2) ensuring we stay open for business and can continue to service all clients.

For the next four week period our office will remain open and staffed.  If you have a meeting scheduled with us you will be contacted by our team to either postpone, re-schedule or re-design.  Meetings can, and will, still be conducted via telephone, email or other electronic methods of communication such as Skype.  We will continue to meet your requirements via these methods of communication.

We thank you for your patience as we work through these complex issues.  Although we cannot say it is “business as usual”, it is “business ongoing”.  We will continue to provide our professional services and expertise to all clients to the best of our ability.

Please stay safe, care for your loved ones and be patient with all community members during these difficult times.
